This is the second painting I completed at a recent workshop in Cypress Mill with Vie Dunn-Harr, in which you used an abstract painting as your underpainting, and then overlaid a subject based on complementing colors. I attended the workshop with my dear friend Janine, and we had a great time painting together and gabbing on the 45-minute trips each way for the three days of the workshop. Well, Thank You bigtime, 'Zanne! Considering the struggles I had with this workshop (I'm more of a realist painter, AND I like to lay paint on thickly and we were supposed to let the abstract show through), it makes me feel really good that you like this so much!

This is one of my new favorites. Love all the colors and background designs. The flower is beautiful and the right size to add real drama. Great job.
