Imagine my surprise tonight when, as I was perusing my newly-arrived December issue of The Pastel Journal, I came across a group of photos that I recognized before even reading the descriptions below them! One of the photos was of we six Texas pastelists who traveled to France this past summer for the opening of the two shows I told you about earlier in my blog (see April 27 and June 11 postings). My face and name, in The Pastel Journal!Other photos include Patrick Martin, Chris, and Na Luther, three wonderful Master Pastelists whom we were fortunate to meet and have dinner with; a shot from across the Loire River of the beautiful abbey in Saint Florent le Vieil, where one exhibition was held; and a photo of a small part of the exhibit in St. Florent. Accompanying the photos is a one-page article, written by Niall O'Neill, a delightful Irish journalist whom we met at the reception, that explains about the exhibitions and describes our part in them. Reading this article and seeing the pictures reminds me again what a fine time we all had.
I am SOOOOOO thrilled to be included in this article, and hope you will find an opportunity to take a look at it. It's on page 10 of the December issue. Color me euphoric!

That's so great!!!
Color me guilty!!! PJ contacted me to talk about the trip and I sent them the picture of all 6 of us. They said it was for January, but now is even better, just in time for our 'Texas Goes to France' exhibition opening in Frisco next week!! We hope you all come visit. Love it!!! MOYA
